“BITZIGEIO – WHAT?”
I often receive that response when I tell people my surname. I am Stefanie Bitzigeio. I can only guess as to the origins of my name, except to say that wherever my ancestors came from, they moved to Germany centuries ago and it’s there, in the wild, wild West, that I was raised.
I studied Communication Design at the University of Applied Sciences, Trier, Germany, graduating in 2000. In the years that followed, I worked as a Graphic Designer for several advertising agencies, before my passion for type led me to the land of the Chocolate Letter, the Netherlands, where I still live and work on my own projects and as a freelance designer.
I am an allround graphic designer, meticulous in the creation and production of all kinds of communication materials for smaller companies, though, I certainly wouldn’t mind working for Greenpeace, Amnesty International or the World Wildlife Fund.
My focus lies on print, processed with Adobe’s CC, but I’m succeeding as well in finding my way through the jungle of online possibilities, provided I don’t have to write code. Luckily, I know people who can do that for me.
